Showmax’s Untied: A Deep Dive into Divorce with SA’s Leading Ladies

It has been three weeks since Showmax introduced the Untied talk show, a bold and unfiltered series taking viewers deep into the often messy, yet always emotional, world of divorce.

The show distinguishes itself by featuring high-profile South African women who have lived through it, moving beyond sensational headlines to provide a platform for their genuine, heartfelt testimony. In essence, it is a space where these women can finally control their own narratives.

Inside the Untied Talk Show: Unfiltered Conversations

Award-winning media personality Relebogile Mabotja hosts Untied, and has so far guided us through intimate, no-holds-barred conversations with women in the spotlight.

With her renowned empathy and deft interviewing skills, Mabotja creates a safe space for these candid discussions. For too long, the media and society have edited, softened, or silenced the pain of women.

In view of this, Graeme Swanepoel, Untied’s creator and executive producer at GOAT, says:

Next week, it is Norma Mngoma’s turn in the spotlight, with her episode of Untied airing on Tuesday, 22 July 2025. In what promises to be a revealing episode, she will be sharing her journey through marriage and divorce.

The trailer for her episode already alludes to an “infamous video” and the emotional toll of public controversy, with Norma stating:

“I lost it.”

Viewers are highly anticipating her appearance, as it offers a chance for her to reclaim her own narrative in her own words, away from public speculation. She will undoubtedly discuss how she has found the strength to pick up the pieces and start over.
