Table Mountain Aerial Cableway Company kicks off Festive Season by welcoming its 33 millionth visitor.

Table Mountain Aerial Cableway Company (TMACC) kicked off the December Festive Season with a major milestone. Earlier today (Monday, 15 December) they welcomed their 33 millionth visitor. Visitors
have been using the cable cars since 1929 to reach the top of the iconic Table Mountain.
Thabiso Letsoalo from Limpopo was surprised with a curated gift hamper and special recognition upon arrival at the Lower Cable Station. He and his partner, Ofentse Huma,
were preparing to board the cable car when the milestone was announced. They are visiting Cape Town for the second
time, making the moment even more memorable.
“It was such a lovely experience, the shock and thrill of the surprise made it even more special,” says Letsoalo. “We are having a great time and it’s definitely one of those memories we’ll keep
forever. Cape Town is just different and so beautiful compared to where we’re from, which is why we keep coming back.”
“Reaching 33 million visitors since the start of operations in 1929 is incredible for TMACC,” says Parker. “Welcoming both our 32 and 33 millionth visitors in the same year is truly remarkable.
Achieving this milestone in the same month that our Twelve Apostles Terrace was recognised as Africa’s Best MICE Event Venue amplifies the significance of this moment for us.
This award highlights the strength of our offering in the business-events space and reinforces how Table Mountain continues to shape both leisure and corporate tourism in Cape Town. Table
Mountain is not only a bucket-list experience for travellers, but also a sought-after setting for meaningful business gatherings, corporate events and global connections.

Every person who chooses to visit our mountain becomes part of our story. We’re deeply grateful to the millions of travellers, local and international, who continue to place Table Mountain
at the top of their Cape Town itinerary.”
The celebration comes during one of TMACC’s busiest seasons, says managing director Wahida
Parker. She encourages those who plan to visit this holiday season to buy tickets and save, download the Table Mountain Aerial Cableway app for Cableway operational status, weather and queue updates and Park and Ride as there Is limited parking In Tafelberg Road.
