Gunna and Under Armour Bring Wunna Run to Joburg

Joburg, lace up. Gunna’s Wunna Run 5K is happening on 9 January 2026, in partnership with Under Armour.

Global hip-hop trailblazer and wellness advocate Gunna is bringing his movement-driven wellness mission to South Africa for the very first time. In collaboration with Under Armour, Gunna will host his inaugural South African Wunna Run on Friday, 9 January 2026 at the Johannesburg Expo Centre.

A Movement Bigger Than the Run

What began as a wellness-focused initiative in New York has evolved into a global series where community, culture, and commitment collide. Born from Gunna’s own lifestyle transformation, Wunna Run challenges the idea that health is a solo grind — instead reframing it as a shared, inclusive journey.

This isn’t about speed. It’s about showing up.

Run the City. Then Own the Night.

Wunna Run Johannesburg lands during Gunna’s highly anticipated visit for the Milk + Cookies Festival, where he headlines alongside South African heavyweights DJ Kent and Vigro Deep.

Fans now have a rare opportunity to run with Gunna before the festival kicks off — blending fitness, music, and culture into one unforgettable experience.

As the official performance partner, Under Armour is elevating every step with athlete-first innovation. Expect an electric atmosphere, curated beats, and a high-energy celebration of movement.
