From Throwback Singalongs to Amapiano Heat: The Magical Marble Family Fest Line-Up Brings the Vibes for All Ages

Two Stages. One Wonder-Filled World.

From golden oldies to amapiano anthems, The Magical Marble Family Fest is set to deliver a joyful, storybook weekend designed for every generation. With two dynamic stages and a programme curated across two days, this family-first festival promises headline-level spectacle alongside intimate, unexpected discoveries.

Taking place on 9 and 10 May 2026 at James and Ethel Gray Park in Johannesburg, the festival invites “Explorers” of all ages to move seamlessly between the Magical Marble Main Stage, the Forest Stage and immersive play and activation spaces scattered throughout the grounds.

Saturday opens with a bright, celebratory atmosphere tailored for families who love big-stage moments and shared singalongs.

Me & Mr Green bring nostalgic cover-band joy for Grand Explorers craving their golden-oldies moment, while Jeremy Loops delivers crowd-lifting live energy. GoodLuck blends electronic and live instrumentation for sunshine-soaked vibes, and Mi Casa — a Luxurious Marble Circus favourite — arrives with their signature house-and-pop sound.

Adding to the pulse, DJ Fresh infuses the unmistakable rhythm of Mzansi house and afro house, while German duo Laura Zimmermann x Lyam Cruz (violin meets DJ in an EDM fusion) create a high-voltage live experience built for family-wide, feet-on-the-grass euphoria.

Moments for the Next Generation

Beyond the headline acts, Saturday offers inspiring moments for younger festivalgoers. Ethan English, the 12-year-old DJ from Dubai who recently opened for David Guetta at Ushuaia, brings commercial dance energy and a story that proves you’re never too young to be extraordinary.

For little ones — and the young at heart — Vin Groovin delivers a nostalgic Disney throwback set, transforming the day into one giant singalong where toddlers, tweens and grown-ups all know the words.

Sunday: Amapiano, Afro House and All-Ages Rhythm

On Sunday, the festival shifts into a deeper, rhythm-driven celebration. Amapiano, 3-step, afro house and afro tech sounds take centre stage, creating a grown-up glow with inclusive, cross-generational appeal.

Babalwa M and Zee Nxumalo lead the amapiano and 3-step wave, while Sun El Musician brings immersive afro house and afro tech atmospheres. DJ Zinhle keeps the dancefloor moving with South African house and afro house favourites.

Festival favourites Mi Casa, Laura Zimmermann x Lyam Cruz, Ethan English and Vin Groovin return to the mix for more wide-eyed, dance-driven wonder and “this is my song” moments.

A Festival Designed for Every Age

While the music line-up is a major drawcard, The Magical Marble Family Fest is designed as a fully immersive world for families.

  • Little Explorers can enjoy dedicated entertainment and sensory-rich, story-inspired play spaces.
  • Junior Explorers are treated to nonstop discoveries, performances and unforgettable surprises.
  • Teen Explorers can experience big-stage energy alongside interactive sports and gaming activations.
  • Moms, dads and Grand Explorers are invited to relax, laugh and reconnect through live music that bridges generations.

The result is a rare multi-generational festival experience — one where toddlers, teens and grandparents share the same dancefloor.
